Why We Built This Site
Public court access is often a routing problem. The statewide search can identify a case, but the Quay County District Court clerk, the Quay County Magistrate Court clerk, Tucumcari Municipal Court, and the Quay County Clerk do not keep the same records. A criminal or civil District Court file belongs with the District Court clerk. A traffic or limited-jurisdiction case may belong with Magistrate Court. Informal probate starts with the County Clerk, while a contested estate can move to District Court.
Our purpose is to make those distinctions easier to see before a visitor calls, travels, or submits a records request. The official public search is New Mexico Case Lookup. The official record remains with the court or clerk that maintains it.
What You Will Find Here
The site organizes public information around the questions that commonly arise when locating a Quay County docket or court record.
- Docket routes: the difference between District, Magistrate, and municipal court records.
- Case lookup: name and case-number searching through New Mexico Case Lookup and the registered re:Search NM layer.
- Hearing dates: the Tenth Judicial District's short-range schedule and clerk confirmation path.
- Record requests: the distinction between a public docket summary, a plain copy, and a certified court record.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference website. It is not part of the New Mexico judiciary, Quay County government, any court, or any clerk's office. We cannot retrieve an official case file, set or change a hearing, resolve a citation, remove or seal a record, or issue a certified copy. We also do not provide legal advice.
Only the clerk or court that maintains a Quay County case can confirm the current docket, the status of a setting, or whether a record is available for inspection and copying.
Search Partners
Content pages include a sponsored search widget operated by a third-party provider. That provider sets its own service terms, results, and any charges. A referral fee may be earned if a visitor chooses a paid service. The widget is separate from New Mexico Case Lookup, re:Search NM, the Tenth Judicial District, and every Quay County public office.
